Paulus Potter silk pocket square - 'Two Horses in a Meadow near a Gate'
'Two Horses in a Meadow near a Gate' or in Dutch 'Twee Paarden in de Wei bij een Hek' was painted by Dutch Master Paulus Potter (1625-1654) in 1649. This oil on panel painting depicts two horses in front of a gate, looking out over meadows with cattle and the city of Delft in the distance. Although Paulus Potter died at the age of 28, he is well known for his realistic paintings of animals in the Dutch countryside. The painting is part of the collection of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
The pocket squares are printed in Macclesfield, a town in England with a history of over 300 years of silk production and printing.
The edges of this pocket square are expertly rolled by hand by our artisan tie maker in Italy.
